Privacy Policy

Takhmeena (تخمینہ) is a set of financial estimate calculators for Pakistan, published by MUCO Apps ("we", "us", "our"). We built Takhmeena to be private by design.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not handle, how it is stored, the role of advertising, and your choices. By downloading or using Takhmeena, you agree to this policy.

1Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Takhmeena mobile application for iOS and Android and to this website. It does not apply to third-party services, app stores, or websites that may be linked from the app, each of which has its own privacy practices.

2Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers. Takhmeena has no user accounts, no login, and no profile. The figures you enter — such as your salary, units consumed, asset values, or device model — are used only to perform a calculation on your device and are not sent to us.

Specifically, we do not ask for or collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
• Your CNIC, NTN, bank, salary, or other financial account details;
• Your contacts, photos, files, microphone or precise GPS location;
• Any data that personally identifies you.

The only data that leaves your device is limited, non-identifying information: the reference data our update server sends to your device (Section 4), the pseudonymous usage and diagnostic data processed by our analytics provider (Section 6), and the data processed by our advertising partner (Section 5). None of this includes the figures you enter or anything that directly identifies you.

3Data stored on your device

To make the app useful, Takhmeena may save a small amount of information locally on your device only, using your phone's standard app storage. This may include:

• Your preferences (for example, selected currency, language, or theme);
• Recently used calculators and, where a calculator offers it, locally saved results or history;
• A cached copy of the latest tax slabs, utility rates and price estimates so the app works offline;
• A flag noting that you have seen the introduction screen.

4Rate & price updates

Tax slabs, electricity and gas tariffs, solar component prices, and similar figures change over time. So that estimates stay current, Takhmeena may periodically download an updated set of these reference values from our update server. The rest of the app works fully offline.

This update is a one-way download: the app requests the latest reference data and saves it locally. No personal data and none of the figures you enter are uploaded as part of this process. As with any internet request, our hosting/content-delivery provider may automatically and temporarily process technical connection data (such as your IP address and device type) to deliver the file and protect against abuse; this is standard server-log information and is not used by us to identify you.

If your device is offline, the app simply continues using the last reference values it downloaded (or the values bundled with the app).

5Advertising (Google AdMob)

Takhmeena is free and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd) to display ads in the app. AdMob is a third-party advertising SDK, and to serve and measure ads it may collect and process certain information from your device, which can include:

• A mobile advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or — on iOS, only with your permission — the Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA);
• Your IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it;
• Device and connection information (device model, operating system, language, network);
• Ad-interaction data (ads shown, clicks, and similar diagnostics).

Google uses this information to show ads, including — where permitted — personalized ads, and to limit ad frequency, measure performance, and prevent fraud. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own policies, not ours:

Your ad choices

• iOS — App Tracking Transparency: on Apple devices, the app will ask for your permission before any tracking that uses the IDFA. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads.
• EU/UK/Switzerland: where required, AdMob presents a consent message so you can agree to or refuse personalized ads.

6Analytics & tracking

To understand how Takhmeena is used and to improve it, we use Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd). Firebase Analytics collects aggregated, pseudonymous usage and diagnostic information — it is not tied to your name and does not tell us who you are. This may include:

• App-usage events — for example which calculators and features are opened, screens viewed, taps, and session length;
• A pseudonymous app-instance / Firebase installation identifier;
• Device and app information — device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and country/region derived from your IP address;
• Basic performance and crash/diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.

Firebase Analytics does not receive the figures you enter (such as your salary, units, or asset values) — those are calculated only on your device. We use analytics solely in aggregate to see which features are useful and where the app can be improved; we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you or to identify you personally.

Google processes this data under its own policies:

Your analytics choices

• You can reset or limit your device advertising identifier (see Section 5), which restricts how analytics and ad identifiers can be used.
• Uninstalling the app stops all further analytics collection from your device.
• Where we offer an in-app privacy setting, you can use it to limit analytics; if you'd like your analytics data handled differently, contact us using Section 16.

Apart from Firebase Analytics and the Google AdMob advertising SDK described in Section 5, we do not use any other analytics, attribution, or behavioural-tracking SDK, and we do not track you across unrelated apps or websites.

7Third-party services

The following third parties may process limited data when you use Takhmeena:

• Google AdMob — serves in-app ads (see Section 5).
• Google Firebase Analytics — provides aggregated, pseudonymous usage & diagnostic analytics (see Section 6).
• Our hosting / content-delivery provider — delivers the rate & price update file (see Section 4).
• Apple App Store / Google Play — distribute the app and may collect download and crash information under their own policies (Apple, Google).

The app may also contain links or buttons that open official external resources (for example FBR, NEPRA, OGRA, or PTA websites). Those sites are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies.

8Payments & in-app purchases

Takhmeena is completely free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no payments of any kind made inside the app. We never ask for or process your payment-card or billing information.

9Children's privacy

Takhmeena is a general-audience financial-utility app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app is ad-supported, we configure ad requests appropriately and, where a user's age is unknown, ads are treated as non-personalized to the extent required by law and store policies. If you believe a child has provided personal information through any third-party ad, please contact us and we will assist.

10Data retention & deletion

We hold no personal data about you on our servers, so there is nothing on our side to retain or delete. The information described in Section 3 lives only on your device.

Deleting your data

• Uninstall the app — deleting Takhmeena from your phone permanently removes all of its locally stored data (preferences, history and cached rates) along with it.
• Clear app data without uninstalling — on Android, go to Settings → Apps → Takhmeena → Storage → Clear data; on iOS, offload or delete and reinstall the app.
• Reset your advertising identifier — use the iOS/Android controls in Section 5 to reset or limit the ad ID used by AdMob.

11Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.

We do not hold any data that directly identifies you, and the figures you enter never leave your device — so in most cases there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase. The only data associated with your use of the app is the pseudonymous, aggregated analytics and advertising data processed by Google (Sections 5 and 6), which is not linked to your identity. You can exercise the advertising- and analytics-related choices in Sections 5 and 6 at any time, uninstall the app to stop further collection, and contact us with any privacy request using the details in Section 16. We do not sell your personal information.

12Security

On-device data is protected by your device's own security and operating-system sandbox. Rate-update downloads are served over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but because the app holds no personal data on our servers, the privacy risk to you is minimal.

13International users

Takhmeena is designed for users in Pakistan but may be used elsewhere. Our advertising and hosting partners may process the limited technical data described above on servers located in other countries. By using the app you understand that such limited, non-identifying processing may occur internationally under those partners' policies.

14Estimates & no guarantee

Any brand or product names that appear in the app (for example solar panels, inverters, batteries or mobile phone models) are used only as neutral references to help estimate typical prices or taxes. Their inclusion is not sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features, partners, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Material changes may also be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Takhmeena after an update means you accept the revised policy.
